Being prepared for your visit to a pediatric endocrinologist will help you get more
out of it. Here are some of the things you can do to make the most of your visit.
- Collect records. Your child's medical records will help a pediatric
endocrinologist see how your child has been growing. Some of the things to bring
with you: the birth length and weight of your child, the heights of the child's
birth parents, the heights of other members of the family, and any other data on
your child's height from other sources.
Get a checklist of what to bring.
- Ask questions. Bring a list of questions about your child's growth
so you don't forget to ask all of them. You might want to ask about treatment options
and what kinds of results you might expect from therapy.

- Learn more. Depending on the results of testing, your child may
be prescribed growth hormone therapy.
